St Johns Wood

 Located North of Paddington, East of Maida Vale and West of Primrose Hill St Johns Wood, a former Royal hunting wood, is one of North West London’s premier areas.

The area is home to successful people from industry, entertainment and politicians. St Johns Wood is also home to The American School in London (ASL) and therefore has attracted a large American ex pat community.

Local attractions are the Abbey Road recording studios, made famous by some of the world largest pop bands including the Beetles who shot the picture for their album cover on the zebra crossing (still there), outside the studio, Lords cricket ground recognised all over the world as one of the most famous cricket grounds and home to the MCC, the Sacchi Art Gallery (Boundary Road) housing some of London’s finest contemporary artwork, Regents Park with its beautiful gardens, sports grounds and a boating lake. 

The area has a selection of fine, restaurants, delicatessens, shops and coffee shops.

The area has a diverse selection of properties from Ambassadorial houses, smart portered blocks, Victorian houses, including a fine selection of Gothic Houses, conversions and some modern town houses. In recent times the newer blocks have included swimming pools, gymnasiums, underground parking to reflect the needs of the cosmopolitan residents that the area attracts.

St Johns Wood is service by the Jubilee line and this makes it an ideal location for easy access to the West End or the docklands.
